Make a Difference this Mother's Day!
For the tens of thousands of women who will spend Mother’s Day in domestic violence shelters, the day will be one to simply celebrate peace and safety for themselves and their children. And some women trapped in abusive relationships will only wish that at least on Mother’s Day — one day a year — they could find some respite from abuse.
This Mother's Day, celebrate a special woman in your life by providing a night of safety for a woman in crisis.
A $45 donation to the Shelter for Help in Emergency is all it takes to provide one-night of safe housing, counseling, and support for abused women in the greater Charlottesville-Albemarle area and neighboring counties.
We will send a card to the woman you've chosen to honor, notifying her that your gift helped a woman take a step toward a safer life.
Win Dinner for Two at Broadcloth and a bottle of Blanc de Blanc from the Wool Factory
In addition, for every $45 donation you make, we'll enter your name in a raffle for dinner for two at Broadcloth and a bottle of Blanc de Blanc from the Wool Factory. Winners will be contacted on May 7th.
